Snow Projects

Who knew when the snow started Sunday night that it would pretty much keep us at home. ALL. Week. Long.  We {Sam, particularly} had our share of fun in the snow, but it wasn't enough.  I spent most of the day Tuesday cleaning out & rearranging the pantries.  It was a huge project that I've wanted to tackle for a while, but our normal schedule hadn't allowed for it.  Once I finished that, I couldn't stop.  It was on to my office that has basically served as an overloaded closet for the last year.  One thing led to another and by yesterday, Pete was painting it for me.  I finally got a real chair for my desk and I downsized my large (extra deep) file cabinet for a smaller 2 drawer cabinet.  Here's the progress so far....

The color is very chameleonish...in some light, it looks like a blue gray...others it is a greenish gray.  It is called Atlantic Gray from Lowe's Seaside Retreats line.

My office is a small space & the khaki color seemed to feel dark in there.  The color has done it's job of lightening up the room some.

It feels good to be better organized.  Looking forward to finishing up this project and moving on to the next one {Grace's baby furniture is coming out & part of the suite I had growing up is moving in}.  Will be back with more pics after I finish reloading the room...

Have you been inspired by being house bound this week?
