A Close Encounter

We stood outside this evening in hopes of seeing the International Space Station {& shuttle Atlantis} pass over our house. We had a 3 minute window to see it. Fortunately it wasn't longer because I am sure we looked like a bunch of idiots - or maybe just crazy people - as we watched. We were giddy with excitement and yelled at each other a little bit. Pete was especially excited because he spends 40 hrs a week supporting ISS.

This shot was taken looking towards the northwest.

And then as it passed on over, I got this shot. Too bad my other camera was acting up & I didn't have a tripod...might have been a little better.

So there it is. My first post in over a month. And it has some really poor quality pictures. Oh well. I have others in the works that are much better...
